Half Tussar Silk Patola occupies a category all its own — the natural weight and texture of tussar beneath the discipline of a Patola weave, with all-over geometric and floral motifs in silver and gold moving across a royal blue ground in every direction at once. A teal accent border traces the edge like a second thought that turns out to be the point. Blue silk tassels close the pallu.

The royal blue carries contrast beautifully — an embroidered or printed blouse in gold, teal, or ivory lets the Patola body take centre stage. Silver or oxidised jewellery complements the silver zari motifs naturally; gold works equally well against the depth of the blue. Hair loose or lightly pinned. The teal border is a detail worth showing — let the pallu fall freely.

• Store folded in a breathable muslin cloth — avoid plastic covers which can trap moisture and affect the fabric's natural texture.
• Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent colour fading in the royal blue ground.
• Iron on a low setting on the reverse side with a pressing cloth. Avoid direct contact with the iron on the woven motifs or teal border.
• Handle the blue silk tassels with care to prevent tangling or fraying.
