This Banarasi Uppada silk wears it across a body of small scattered gold buttis, before the pallu opens into something larger: bold circular medallions in gold zari, each one intricate and complete in itself, arranged with the quiet confidence of a pattern that has nothing to prove. A champagne or antique gold blouse lets the rani pink hold its depth without competition.
