The lotus arrives across this off-white Chanderi the way it always does — unhurried, rising from green lily pads in coral and pink and the particular orange of a flower that has already decided to open. The fabric is silk-cotton and light, almost transparent in the way Chanderi is, and the copper-gold zari border traces its edge so quietly you might miss it. Cream tassels at the pallu, a striped blouse piece folded in.

The lotus doesn't hurry. This saree doesn't either.

The coral and pink lotus tones pair beautifully with a deep magenta, terracotta, or sage green blouse — as shown in the drape. • Iron on a low setting on the reverse side with a pressing cloth. Avoid ironing directly over the woven lotus blooms, cream tassels, or zari border.
• Handle the zari border with care; avoid friction and perfume contact which can dull it over time.
