A gold or champagne metallic blouse is the cleanest pairing: it echoes the zari and keeps the navy deep. Add antique gold bracelets, pearl or polki drops, and a loose side-swept hairstyle. For something quieter, go ivory or silver.

• Dry clean only, to preserve the crisp hand of Kora silk and the fine zari stripes.
• Store folded in a breathable muslin cloth. Avoid plastic covers, which can trap moisture.
• Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent fading of the midnight blue.
• Handle the zari stripes with care. Avoid friction against rough surfaces and sharp jewellery edges.
• Iron on a low setting on the reverse side with a pressing cloth. Do not iron directly over the zari.
• Handle the tassels gently to prevent tangling or fraying.
