Yellow asks for contrast — a deep magenta, emerald green, or wine blouse will make the yellow sing without fighting for attention. Pair with gold or polki jewellery and keep the look uncluttered. The buttis do their own quiet work; let them.

• Dry clean recommended to preserve the Chanderi weave and zari work.
• If hand washing, use cold water and a very mild detergent — handle gently and do not wring.
• Store in a breathable muslin cloth — avoid plastic covers which can trap moisture and affect the fabric's sheen.
• Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent colour fading.
• Iron on a low setting on the reverse side with a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric. Avoid ironing directly over the zari border or buttis.
• Handle the zari border with care; avoid friction and perfume contact which can dull the gold work over time.
